Adult Business Prosecutions: From Southwest Companions to Classy DC Escorts

Anyone that has read this blog before is already aware I am not offering an unbiased middle-of-the-road take on adult business prosecutions in the US. I am almost always on the side of the defense; however, I only cover cases in which I have some reason to believe there's more to the story.

To me it was obvious that the Southwest Companions prosecution in Albuquerque, New Mexico was fraught with serious issues and selective. I felt similarly regarding the Classy DC Escorts case, though for different reasoning. If you followed my blog during the Orlando conspiracy trial of 11 defendants from Eastern Europe that was originally dubbed a “Russian sex trafficking ring,” then you are aware that I was appalled at every aspect of the prosecution and often stated so in my posts that included case documents.

Most posts from that Orlando conspiracy trial were removed at the request of a couple of defendants' family members. The request was granted because the 11 defendants were all around 25 years old and must be able to have a life when each returns home to Moldova, Ukraine, and Russia. In my opinion, those family members didn't stop and think that the only other articles out there still refer to it as a “sex trafficking” case and I was the last stop on the train to reality and truth. Mainstream newspapers rarely, if ever, go back and admit to offering incorrect information or remove that info.

I never did take a minute at the end of that Orlando conspiracy case trial and sentencing to congratulate each and every defendant involved. These people were from Eastern Europe, yet when faced with charges that could have given each one of them 5 to 50 years in a US prison, they all took it to trial. There were six defendants convicted by the jury and five acquitted. They all have more nerve than most people I have ever encountered in the US. It takes nerve and guts to take such a case to trial. This is my final post about this case:

In the last couple of days, and especially today, many readers are arriving on this blog with the search term “Southwest Companions”. Hell, I was busy congratulating David Flory when I first saw that all charges had nolle prossed back in late August of 2011. This may have been premature, but not really when you think about it. I ripped the Albuquerque P.D. a new one in one post a long time ago. In the last post written on the case, I considered it all to be one great mystery. These are the main posts on the Southwest Companions case:

There was news on the Southwest Companions prosecution yesterday and a blog reader provided a link in comments on the last article. Now other newspapers and blogs have picked-up on it and discussed it. A judge named Stan Whitaker ruled in favor of the defendants in the case: Dated prostitution law puts case on hold. Yeah, on hold forever the way I read the ruling. There's a prosecutor trying to save face and win the next election along with a bunch of overzealous cops involved, so I won't say much more at this time and instead will post on the case in the next week.

The most recent case that I have tackled is the Classy DC Escorts case. In a sense I was truly disappointed when I found out that even the photoshop lady, Jennifer Churchill, chose to make a guilty plea. When I felt that personal disappointment, I was not aware of the specific deal that she made. She pleaded guilty to the equivalent of a traffic infraction and received a $500 fine. Not even a flippin' misdemeanor! Anyone with a brain would plead with a deal like that on the table.

This goes to show how weak the case was as it related to Jennifer Churchill. However, most of us are aware that a jury could go either direction and Alexandria, Virginia has a conservative and often government related population. If everyone on the jury had contracted or worked for the government in some capacity, well, it could have easily resulted in a guilty verdict on any count. So a deal involving a plea to the equivalent of a traffic ticket, is truly a deal.

Often we forget to mention the attorneys involved in these case. There are many heroes and many more duds. While I won't name the duds because I cannot be sure of what occurred during the course of the case, I will indeed be naming the heroes. In the Classy DC Escorts case there is a law firm that represented Jennifer Churchill pro bono.

The attorney that defended Churchill in the case is a trial attorney and not a plea bargain attorney as so many that I have encountered in Central Florida are. If not for the excellent deal offer, Churchill would have definitely gone to trial. Kerri Ruttenberg of Jones Daybelieved in her client and fought until the fight was over and her client prevailed. Jones Day has attorneys all over the world and is not limited to the Alexandria, Virginia area.

I have so much more to say about attorneys that are heroes, including Kerri Ruttenberg, that the topic deserves a post of its own. Expect to see such a posting in the next week.

In my last post on this blog, I stated that I intended to get away from posting about adult business prosecutions and target other forms of injustice in the future. First and foremost on my mind is the DOJ prosecution of former attorney Paul Bergrin. I will tell you that I have been targeted over my posts on the Paul Bergrin debacle, so if I didn't really believe in the man, I'd have skipped it long ago.

Just this last week I was threatened (in so many words) with a prosecution in comments on the last nj.com article about Bergrin. According to the commenter, my blogs and my books are all illegal and a “promoting prostitution” prosecution is in my future. I, of course, told the party to give it his/her best shot, but that this blog and my others have been up for several years and no one has succeeded yet. I believe that party to be a part of the prosecution and/or investigation. This was far from the first threat leveled at me in reference to that case and it is all too apparent that someone involved would like to end my blogging forever.

There is some time before the next Bergrin trial starts and that is my sole reason for not posting anything else about the case at this time. I do not scare easily and really I no longer give a rat's ass who threatens me with what. I'm just beyond being concerned. They need to tell it to someone that cares.

Do expect me to continue posting about adult business prosecutions in the future. I will be clearing-up discussions on past and present cases and looking closely at several that I have paid little attention to, including the New York High Class prosecution that is approaching trial in NY, the All Perfect Tens case that is approaching trial in South Florida, and the Anna Gristina case in NY.

Mentioning Gristina – Justice Juan Merchan needs to be thrown off the bench. Hopefully Anna Gristina will be released before today is over and we can thank the Appeals Court for that.

PayPal Censorship has Broad Ramifications

As many of you are aware, PayPal froze my account back in July 2011 because I "sell a book about escort services". Refer to my original post: Censored by PayPal. This post was prompted by an article written by Andrew Shaffer and posted on February 27, 2012 for Huff Post: PayPal Takes Controversial Stance Against Sex

I thank Andrew Shaffer for including my unusual case in this article.

In the last few days, this US corporation that pretends to be a bank, but is not regulated as such, has demanded that books categorized as "erotica" with specific sexual content that many consider to be abhorrent be removed from a list of online bookstores that sell with PayPal. The particular content at issue is nothing I'd ever read, but since when did Americans appreciate what amounts to book burning?

My situation is proof positive that this monstor censor won't stop there - they are after all that is adult. Does the Disney - Meg Whitman connection have any relation to the recent events? I think so, but then I know better than most what Disney is capable of in the pursuit of an anti-adult agenda and it is more than you can imagine.

Reflections on the Past

As a result of my past history as an adult business owner in the Orlando area, I find the recent actions by PayPal to be par for the course. An examination of the bigger picture here reveals a similar anti-adult trend in the US to that which I experienced for so many years in Orlando. I said it before and I'll say it again: Orlando was a test market to understand the level of toleration for censorship of the general population in the US. Welcome to my world.

Back in 1996, the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation (MBI), with Disney grants as one major source of funding, pursued Sprint Yellow Pages as a result of the publisher's refusal to remove the "escort services" category from its upcoming 1996 books. More on that story here: The Yellow Pages Fiasco

To better understand the MBI agenda over the years, read: Orlando MBI: The Long War on Adults

The Orlando area has been under siege for over 30 years by these pretend prudes that are now disguised by corporate America and as a matter of fact, many have now joined corporate America after retiring - (A big holler out to former MBI agent Ray Peters and a congrats on his employment as Head of Security at the Rosen Plaza in Orlando). I state "pretend" because as the party that owned escort services in the metro Orlando area for 10 years, I know what they really do. They may fool some of the people some of the time, but they'll never fool me.

I know why I was prosecuted and it had nothing at all to do with anything (95% pure lies and BS) stated in the arrest affidavit. You may note that there was never even enough evidence to get court orders to wiretap or search in my investigation and prosecution.

The Big Picture

What began long ago as a war on all that is adult in Orlando, Florida has now proliferated and is a War on all that is adult in the US. First they went after anyone they could find that looked like a viable target. This practice evolved into creating cases where there was none to begin with as the eye of government turned to the publishers of advertisements and websites for adult business.

One of the most known cases is the MBI arrest of several Orlando Weekly advertising sales executives and the civil RICO indictment of the newspaper in late 2007. Read what well-known First Amendment attorney Marc Randazza had to say about this case: The Orlando Weekly Case

Going after publishers is the first major step in the anti-adult agenda. Of course the great majority voluntarily caved and stopped selling advertisements for anything adult. The results of the Orlando Weekly case gave MBI the nerves to go national. Craigslist was attacked and shamed by the ignorant and many with an agenda, eventually caving also. The attack on Craigslist originated with none other than the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation (MBI) in Orlando. Doubt that? Read these public documents with thinly veiled threats:

MBI to Buckmaster September 2007

MBI to Buckmaster November 2007

Buckmaster to MBI November 2007

MBI to Buckmaster January 2008

MBI to Buckmaster March 2008

Note that the MBI refers to the demand to Craigslist to drop the adult categories as Good Corporate Citizenship.  I absolutely picture one of these whacks contacting PayPal and requesting that my account be frozen utilizing the usual tool box of lies and referring to my books as "obscene material". If I ever find out that they had something to do with my frozen account, I will sue the pants off of anyone involved.

Going after the publishers is not a new approach, but it is now used as a major tool in the anti-adult agenda toolbox. First Amendment attorney Lawrence Walters addressed the problem as it relates to adult business ads online in two recent posts:

Killing the Messenger: The Campaign Against Online Escort Advertising Sites; Part 1 - Setting the Stage

Killing the Messenger: The Campaign Against Online Escort Advertising Sites; Part II - Operational Policies and Legal Issues

When you read the two articles written by Walters, realize that this is a pursuit of any directory, classified ad seller, or online listings provider for these adults in the adult business. This has already existed to an extent, but the stakes are getting higher. As Walters states:

"Federal conspiracy, solicitation and money laundering statutes certainly don’t help an escort site’s plight. The epitome of broad and vague statutory language; these laws expose even the most tangentially involved individual/entity to potential legal liability."

Law enforcement agents around the US have managed to poison the phrase and business description of "escort services" by including street hookers and referring to any operator as a pimp. The reality is that most escort business operators market and book appointments and not much else. The general population in the US has fallen into their trap hook, line, and sinker.

Perhaps it is time for a new business title that omits the word "escort". They poisoned it - let them keep it! Changing titles for businesses and independents wouldn't be all that complicated. It was done back in 2000-2001 with the "hobbyists" and "providers" on message boards all over the world. One idea for the operator in a major city is "convention hostess" or we could all return to the "lingerie model" concept and the operators would offer model referrals or hostess referrals for conventions.

As one reader of this blog recently pointed out to me, the MegaUpload indictment is the beginning of the end. Mentioning that case, I was happy to read that Kim Dotcom was released on bond because as previously stated, I do not advocate any prison at all for non-violent activities. I do not like what these people did, but that doesn't translate to any desire to lock them in a cage. Yes, I'm happy that site is down and wish the rest out there could join it. You can't believe that I would be happy that people steal what little I could have.

Today it hit the news that the US DOJ is now going after gambling websites even when the business is outside the US. From a blog reader:

"But NOW, they have dropped the pretext of being fair, and have gone after a gambling company not in the US, not registered in the US, and apparently not even banking in the US."
Verisign seizes .com domain registered via foreign Registrar on behalf of US Authorities

I can envision the US government seizing adult websites of all types, especially if a Republican (other than Ron Paul) makes it to the White House in the 2012 national election. Well known First Amendment attorney Lawrence Walters states this best: The Politics of Porn - 2012

Make sure that you get out and vote. Realize which politicians are ready to kill your income, your reading material, movies that adults enjoy, your bingo parlor, and anything else that is adult in the United States. Mark my words - the MBI has gone viral with the anti-adult agenda and anything from bingo parlors to internet cafés to adult businesses and writers of adult material are in the line of fire. Now that they've reached out to the payment processors (PayPal, Visa, MasterCard), it won't be that complicated.

It is indeed censorship as it is all a part of a government agenda. Do not pretend that greedy corporate payment processors do not want the money.

Taking a Stand Against SOPA and PIPA

As a party that holds numerous copyright registrations and is in-process of registering additional material, my opinion should count when it comes to the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect Intellectual Property Act (PIPA). However, the response from Senator Bill Nelson (Florida) could easily be summarized as:

It's all good. We know what's best for you and you really don't know a damn thing about it. I'm going to vote where the money is and it is overwhelmingly in support of PIPA. So go bake a cake or do something useful.

A main issue that I have with the SOPA and PIPA legislation is that it gives our government agencies such as the Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) even more power than each already holds. As a copyright holder, I am more than capable of sending out a DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown notice and have done so in past. I do not need or want the US government to have the ability to block the offending party's domains and initiate prosecution. Thanks, but no thanks – I'll pass.

As a blogger that often posts YouTube music videos I am also on the other side of that street and am well aware that the SOPA and PIPA legislation could serve as a platform to remove and/or block this blog, my other blogs, and my websites and prosecute me.

Any copyright holder of the music in a particular YouTube must only contact Google and request that it be removed or embedding be blocked. Many copyright holders do precisely that. I had a YouTube on my Blueprint Blog a couple of days ago that stated, “This content is not available in your country,” or something close to that when I returned to change it the following day. An example of embedding disabled is the Haddaway YouTube, “What is Love” found HERE. I love that video, but can't post it on this blog as it states, “embedding disabled by request”. So as you see, this is a simple solution for copyright holders.

So what in the hell is the Problem?

Well, the backers of the PIPA and SOPA legislation will slam you with all sorts of twisted reasoning about why we need these bills to pass, but the truth of the matter is that the laws will be abused and used to remove and/or block blogs such as this one. Consider what they managed to do with the PATRIOT Act long ago. As an early victim of the PATRIOT legislation passed in October of 2001, trust me when I tell you that they used it to eliminate the Fourth Amendment protections of many citizens. I was far from alone.

When the backers respond that this thesis of defense is all hype, just remember the PATRIOT Act, which I actually read shortly after it passed, unlike the dazed representatives that voted to pass it. Thanks, but I will pass on my government protecting me from pirates in other countries and anything else for that matter. They taught me long ago that they are the perpetrators, not the protectors.

As a writer with numerous registered copyrights, I am the alleged victim that they claim to help with this legislation and I want you to fight them all the way to the courthouse steps. Wikipedia, Reddit, Mozilla, WordPress, and Boing Boing will be implementing a blackout of all websites at 12 midnight EST (Washington DC time) on 18 January, 2012. That is tonight at midnight and it will be in effect for 24 hours. Contact Google, Twitter, Yahoo!, and Bing and request that each support this blackout also!

Now, Senator Bill Nelson of Florida, since I have published my viewpoint, I think I will go bake that fucking cake. Thanks for nothing as usual.

Before I leave here, just in case the legislation does pass at some point, you may want to know about the MAFIAA Fire Redirector: MAFIAA

Orlando MBI: The Long War on Adults

The War on anything adult and all publishers of ads for anything adult in the Orlando metro area started over 3 decades ago for Orlando's Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation (MBI) and continues today. The Orlando MBI's overzealous agents have left a trail of thousands of victims, many still in state and federal prisons. I was one of the lucky victims (lucky I'm not spending life in prison anyway) and Memoirs of an Accused Madam is my story.

The most vehement critic of the Orlando MBI was always the Orlando Weekly and the agency managed to silence the newspaper's investigative reporting with the October 2007 arrests of several advertising sales employees for selling ads to escorts and unlicensed massage therapists that offered more than the law allows.

Many around back in 1996 could testify to the fact that this was not a new strategy for the MBI, myself included. The War on publishers of ads for adult business began with the Yellow Pages Fiasco in 1996, when Sprint Publishing was threatened with a RICO case over a refusal to remove the “escort services” category in the Central Florida yellow pages. Sprint did remove the category, stopping the presses (literally) on the 1997 directories printed and distributed by November of 1996.

Someone stated to me back in 1993-94 that Orlando was a testing ground of some sort in relation to the eradication of anything involving adult business or vice, from gambling and bingo to escort services and X-rated movies. I believe it. The MBI's War on Adults has spread throughout the US these days with the attacks on Craigslist (an MBI priority before anyone else ever touched it) and now on Backpage.

Enjoy Bingo?

The MBI would have liked to make sure that you would never enjoy bingo in Orlando; however, Philip Furtney of Ontario fought the agency from 1995, until he died in late 2007, while in-process of a civil suit against members of the MBI Governing Board to retrieve his stolen property. Furtney's brother Bruce, on behalf of the estate, carried-on with the suit and won a judgment. As far as I am aware, Furtney's estate finally collected from the State of Florida.

I would like to keep Philip Leroy Furtney's criminal and civil cases alive in our memories forever and do so with the inclusion of links to posts on this blog. Never forget what the MBI is capable of:

True Investigative Reporting of a Renegade Agency

Over the years, the Orlando Weeklyand its investigative reporters were often nipping at the heels of the dogs at the MBI. Retaliation is hell and the Weekly and its employees paid dearly for placing the agency in the public eye. One day last week I did a search for MBI articles written by Weeklyreporters and each link was dead. A fear of sorts gripped me at the discovery, a fear that all the solid online information concerning the vicious pursuits of the MBI was being deleted and removed. Whew! It didn't happen and a few days later the links were all working. One other thought I had was that perhaps the Weekly had commissioned a book – that would have been wonderful; it would become a bestseller overnight. (Idea for the Weekly to help make-up for lost revenue!)

To keep the information out there I have compiled a list of important Orlando Weekly stories about the MBI over the last 10 years. Whatever the Weekly did last week with the links has made it so that the articles are on a dark red background with dark blue text – if you highlight the text it is much easier to read. They are in no particular order and searching the Orlando Weekly for stories on the MBI revealed 135 results so these are my picks:

The Morality Police (scroll to view 2 images, 1 of the MBI director in 1989 and the other of Hitler's SA and both concerned over morality – scary stuff)

Our little Gestapo (MBI = "Central Florida's Church Lady with a Badge") (love this story!)

Score one for the MBI (about my federal civil suit being tossed with a twist at the end)

Something's Fishy (bad behavior of agents at a strip club)

Dirty Politics (on the Video Exposé takedown)

Happytown Column (on The Original Bookstore raid)

Told You So (Part 2) (I can't locate part 1)

Legal Haze (smoke shop raids)

The links I have included reveal what the MBI really is, but there are many cases that even the Weeklywas not aware of and many defendants that have suffered at the hands of the overzealous agents of the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation. Few appreciate this agency in Orlando – the citizens did not ask for this whacked task force to eliminate all that is adult in Orlando. I will leave it to you to figure out what monster enterprise did.

I have written about a variety of cases in Memoirs that are not in any Weekly articles. In the past couple of months I've discussed the Orlando federal conspiracy trial of the 11 defendants from Eastern Europe on this blog – this is indeed an MBI case. MBI is not a local agency. I am not clear on how the agency has changed since former Director William Lutz retired, though at the conclusion of Memoirs I did believe there had been a significant change. Well, I have changed my mind.

I consider it important to keep the information out there and perhaps if I had given away free copies of Memoirs a couple of years ago after it was published, the most recent case involving the Eastern European defendants would never have happened; maybe, just maybe, they would have passed on Orlando. If not for the arrests of the Weekly employees in late 2007, there would be many more articles of cases that are now buried by the MBI.

If you are an adult that likes to gamble, play bingo, visit smoke shops, rent X-rated movies, read X-rated books, get a massage with a happy ending, patronize strip clubs, or call escorts... well, Orlando is not the place to be. We live in a fantasy land for children here - think about it - Disney shut down Pleasure Island (the nightclub theme park) in late 2008, after 20 years, because of demands by visiting families. The MBI has not been dissolved yet, with emphasis on yet, and we can only hope that one day...

If you do not like me, realize that it is the MBI that made me the person that I am today. I like who I am, but if you don't, well, you should know that I used to be a nice, mild-mannered woman. More than a decade of continuous harassment, interference in my life, and a show trial that rivaled many in the Stalin era did it. Change can be a good thing. I learned to kick back.

Backpage Under Attack: My Expert Opinion

Yesterday I did a search for the term “backpage” in Google News and found pages of news articles concerning recent arrests that involve ads on Backpage. Today I did the same search and found additional articles of arrests made in the past day. Village Voice Media, the owner of Backpage, is under serious attack by anyone and everyone that hates adult business of any type. Cops are using the website for stings all over the US now - really - search for yourself.

Before continuing here, I would like to go ahead and establish my expert status on the topic. While I am not an expert on sex trafficking, I do consider myself an expert on the so-called “sex trafficking experts” that are demanding Backpage remove its entire “adult” category, which includes the sub-categories: escorts; body rubs; strippers & strip clubs; dom and fetish; TS; male escorts; phone & websites; and adult jobs. I have dealt with one form or another of these experts with an agenda since 1992, and that is longer than any one of the so-called experts have tackled sex trafficking.

The religious groups involved in attacking Backpage are still cheering with delight over their victory at Craigslist. To clarify, it wasn't really a victory as those type of ads are now spread-out through many categories on Craigslist – participants in adult business manage to find the ads. Beyond this, Craigslist only lost in the court of public opinion and not in any actual court. In fact, if anything threatened by so many state attorney generals had actually gone to any court, Craigslist would have won and they all know it, which is why they choose the court of public opinion.

I would also like to establish that I have no horse in this race. I placed ads promoting my books in the “adult jobs” sub-category for close to a year ending over a year ago. So, I have no personal or business need for the “adult” category of Backpage and in fact, quite the opposite as many that purchase my Blueprint books start an escort service and follow instructions in the books and have websites and local listings online. There is no advice in any book to advertise services on Backpage or Craigslist and there never has been. There is an option discussed to place an ad in the sub-category “adult jobs” if one has any trouble finding independent escorts for the business, but then all advice is geared to working only with escorts over 21 years of age and even this option is updated to exclude such an ad anywhere on the Blueprint Blog.

The “adult” category ads on Backpage interfere with escort businesses that operate properly with websites and local listings, so I do not have any reason whatsoever to defend Backpage or the crowd that advertises in the “adult” category. Who really wants all these independent escorts advertising a $100 special? Not me or anyone that bought my books to enter the business. You can conclude that I have no horse in this race. My interest is based solely on the First Amendment rights of the publishers and an unequivocal disgust for the anti-adult business crowd.

The Print Publishing Agenda

When anything and everything adult went online many years ago we all realized that there would be good and bad. The world has progressed beyond print ads and this is true of any category. Is there anyone out there that actually believes that there were no sex traffickers that actually exploited children in operation before adult business went online? There were pimps on the street. There were underage prostitutes that worked for businesses that advertised in mainstream newspapers, independent news publications, and yellow pages. Nothing at all has changed except the delivery of the ad.

Print publications that include “adult” or “entertainment-adult” categories that have not succeeded in the world of online publishing and marketing would love to see the “adult” category of Backpage eliminated. Those inept advertisers not capable of creating and publishing a website or not interested in putting forth time and effort in their businesses to list online locally would probably flock back to print and they'd be back in the money – and make no mistake – it was big money for the print publishers. My print ads in the Reuben H. Donnelley (now Dex One Corporation) yellow pages in Central Florida total was around $50K back in 1996. These days one could accomplish the same by spending less than $1K a year online. Hopefully you understand the point here.

The Sex Trafficking Expert Agenda

These so-called sex trafficking experts disseminate false information to the naïve general population and most fall for it hook, line, and sinker. More often than not, people do not even bother to question the source agenda. You do realize that the DOJ passes out major grant money and funding to all of these so-called non-profit groups, right? They are non-profit” only in the sense that they do not show profits or pay tax on profits, but in reality all participants are collecting serious money in the form of paychecks and research grants. Do include local, state, and federal law enforcement in this agenda.

They have all formed task forces for what has existed forever by giving it a new label – the sex trafficking label. The pimp from the street moved online and now they all need $millions+ to find him – have you ever heard anything that absurd? I could pick out the pimps and underage prostitutes online easily in much less time and for much less money. These people are inept idiots that have managed to give themselves long-term paychecks at the expense of adult business, the US taxpayer, and the First Amendment.

“To facilitate multidistrict contacts and cooperation in sex trafficking cases, the U.S. Department of Justice has funded 42 jurisdictions and 36 trafficking victim services providers to form human trafficking task forces to identify and rescue victims of trafficking by proactively investigating such cases.”

Or could it be that it is not really a deep concern for a few underage prostitutes and their pimps and more of an anti-adult business agenda? Bingo. These people want to wipe-out all forms of adult business, but escort services and advertising websites used by escorts are the target du jour. They are happy that they'll put 200K+ adult independent escorts out of business with some lame pretense that they must stop a few minor girls from being sex trafficking victims. Bullshit – I have looked closer at many of their crap cases on this blog.

The fact is that they want no advertising venues to accept ads for any adult business or operator of any type. They have been at this for many years in the US, but have finally figured out out to get serious $$$$ for the agenda. Back when the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation (MBI) went after Sprint Yellow Pages in Orlando there were no big funds available and few rallied to the cause – the MBI was on their own (with grant money from Disney) against the First Amendment rights of publishers and it was an ugly game. Read Yellow Pages Fiasco for more information on that mess.

More recently (2007-08) there was the MBI's lone pursuit of Orlando Weekly and its employees – a local Orlando newspaper: Well, Google the term “orlando weekly and mbi” to see the pages of results as all stories about the MBI in the Orlando Weekly are currently down or have been eliminated (http 500 error) or read First Amendment attorney Marc Randazza's thoughts: The Orlando Weekly Case

Now I am curious as to what is going on with the Weekly. All of the previously published stories about the MBI are unavailable, including The Morality Police, a major story published concerning many cases, including my own case. All stories that exposed the truth about the MBI have disappeared.

The Religious Agenda

This should be obvious to you. In the name of religious zealotry, the sex trafficking card is played often these days, but it isn't anything new for religious groups in the US to pursue the anti-adult agenda with any means available. A short story from Memoirs:

For an entire year I received about forty to eighty calls a month on my main toll-free number wherein the callers requested a free book about Jesus that they had seen advertised on a Christian program on television. I was always nice, and explained that it was a business line and I had no such ad. I advised them to call the program and question them about it. This was no big problem and only added about twenty or thirty dollars to my monthly bill.

After about a year, things suddenly changed: The phone would ring off the hook with calls coming in from all over the country. The callers were responding to an ad for free phone sex that ran on USA Network affiliate stations everywhere. Some stated that they saw the ad in a magazine as well. The callers described an ad with ladies almost entirely nude except for a small piece of lingerie. They all repeated my number to me, and the phone rang constantly with this crap from around eleven in the evening until two or three in the morning.

After about two months of these harassing calls I had the number disconnected. Every time I picked up the phone the billing started, and it was ten cents a minute. It was seriously running up the bill. I never actually saw the ad on television, but an escort that worked for me did and called me and described it to me. This was a toll-free number that I’d had since opening the business, and many repeat clients called it, usually from out-of-town numbers.

When I thought about the situation I realized that the free book about Jesus ad had not served the purpose that someone intended: to get me to turn the number off. Regardless, someone dug into their deep pockets and finally achieved the desired result. I was never able to get a person on the phone at any affiliate station that could direct me to anyone that had the advertiser’s information. This was an intelligent maneuver deliberately used to prevent me from receiving toll-free calls from clients, and it was successful.

The Court of Public Opinion

I can see that someone wanted all of those articles from the Orlando Weekly removed and unavailable online to the general population. They do not want you to know how long this war has been going on here and would prefer that you believed it was an admirable agenda. Someone told me many years ago (1993-94) that Orlando was a testing ground of sorts – I believe it. What used to be an MBI agenda is now being pursued all over the US using any and all tools in the toolbox. Caveat Emptor. The goods they are selling the general population are indeed defective in this situation.

Southwest Companions Case: All Charges Dropped for David Flory

I last discussed the Southwest Companions case in Southwest Companions: Gutting the Albuquerque PDCase on June 27, 2011. Today an interested party contacted me to ask if I had heard anything about the case being dismissed, so I looked it up and lo and behold: All charges were Nolle Prosequi – this means dropped or dismissed!

So where are the mainstream media and the loudmouths from Albuquerque Police Department now?

Unless former professor F. Chis Garcia was charged elsewhere, as in a different county or area, which I seriously doubt, there is no case showing against him at all. All I could find in search was a couple of parking ticket cases (not even his) even when entering the case number. The link to search for yourself is:

http://www.metrocourt.state.nm.us/casemanagement/

Congratulations to David Flory! If you have any information concerning Garcia, please contact me. I haven't looked around yet and wanted to post this immediately, but no doubt I will be posting on this case with more info in the near future. Love it!!!!

EDIT to note: This may not exactly be a victory. When charges are nolle prossed they can be refiled or different charges filed. I need to do a bit of digging around and will post more when I have something.

The End of the First Amendment

You may as well toss the Bill of Rights in the trash because it isn't worth the paper it is printed on these days. The opposition (i.e the state and federal government) will attempt to feed you a line of crap that police or judicial designated free speech zones are constitutional, but it is exactly that: a line of crap, especially in the context used in the case of Mark Schmidter of Orlando. Schmidter dared to pass out pamphlets on public property.

The only connection of Schmidter's case to the Casey Anthony fiasco is that an administrative order from Judge Belvin Perry in the Anthony case regarding a free speech zone was applied to anyone in or around the courthouse. The pamphlets that Mark Schmidter handed out outside of the Orange County courthouse had nothing whatsoever to do with Anthony's case and he had previously passed out the same pamphlets at the same location long before her trial. Don't believe it when they tell you this is related to the Anthony fiasco in any way, shape, or form.

So what are these pamphlets about? Jury nullification.

The pamphlets advised possible or potential jurors of their rights as jurors. The corrupt system representatives do not want jurors to know that they have any rights at all, but indeed they do. Mark Schmidter is actively involved in an organization called Florida Fully Informed Jury Association and frequently spends his own time passing out these pamphlets at courthouses across the State of Florida. Read the actual pamphlet (PDF) HERE.

The truth is that judges like Perry do not want jurors to know that they have any rights at all and in this respect, Schmidter was a disruption to the corrupt system in place. Jury nullification is term that describes a juror's right to refuse to enforce bad laws and bad prosecutions. The pamphlets explain the juror's right to judge the facts of the case and the law itself. Many have stated that I was a beneficiary of jury nullification, though only the jurors in my trial could know for sure.

Today Judge Belvin Perry held a trial without jurors, commonly referred to as trial by judge. The defendant was Mark Schmidter and Judge Perry convicted him on both counts of “indirect criminal contempt” for violating two administrative orders that he issued pertaining to the Casey Anthony case. Injustice was swift in this case – Schmidter was only arrested on June 29, 2011, and he sure didn't get his right to trial by jury. He lost (go figure) and was sentenced to 151 days on one count and 141 days on the other, to be served concurrently (simultaneously or at the same time).

So this man will spend around 151 days in the lousy Orange County jail for handing out pamphlets on the Orange County courthouse steps – something he and many have done for years at courthouses across the State of Florida. Schmidter's attorney, Adam Sudbury, will be filing the appeal on his behalf and working to get him an appeal bond so that he can get out of the Orange County hellhole.

One significant difference between this case and any that have passed judicial scrutiny in regards to free speech zones is that this was not a captive audience, though there is caselaw to back-up cases in which the recipients of the “speech” were indeed a captive audience. I believe that Schmidter will find justice outside of Orange County, either in the appeals court or if not then in US Supreme Court, as he did have the right to be heard by his desired audience: Schmidter was within his First Amendment right to persuade possible or potential jurors to know their rights as jurors.

While Belvin Perry somehow managed to give Casey Anthony a fair trial, he also managed to stomp on the Bill of Rights for anyone that was anywhere near the fiasco. Read the Orlando Sentinelarticle: Judge Perry sends man with pamphlets to jail

The Squeeze is on Backpage Now

With Craigslist adult services long gone, the anti-adult agenda has turned towards Village Voice Media, the owner of backpage.com. In Seattle, the mayor has pulled the city's ads in the Seattle Weekly, also owned by Village Voice Media. American Airlines also pulled all ads from Village Voice Media publications.

Trevor Neilsen with Huffpost Mediastated: “The goal is also not to stop adults from selling ads. The goal is simply to stop children from being sold for sex.”

Don't be naïve Trevor. They won't stop until all adult categories have been eliminated from all Village Voice publications. I'm sure that you watched it with Craigslist and the personalized attacks on Craig Newmark and Jim Buckmaster, right? What makes you believe that this witch hunt is any different? I will await your answer.

Beyond that, I have watched it and dealt with it since I entered the escort business in Orlando in 1992, with special emphasis on 1996, when Sprint Publishing was threatened with RICO charges over its yellow pages in the Orlando-Disney area and then again with the arrests at the Orlando Weekly back in 2007: The Yellow Pages Fiasco

Using the cause of child sex trafficking is a somewhat new tool in the anti-adult business toolbox. Really in any case that I have heard of that involved Backpage, we are talking about some random sleezebag that advertises a teenager. Let's not pretend this never happened before the world went online.

If Village Voice Media is somehow able to verify ID prior to posting an advertisement in the adult categories, do you believe that it would stop there and the current attackers would welcome the media company with open arms? If you do, I still have that home in the Everglades for sale and the wildlife comes right to the door.

This entire attack is all about the anti-adult agenda and has little or nothing to do with child sex trafficking. Trust me; they'd like to kill all adult businesses in the US and make advertising anywhere impossible. The question is, who will be the next in line after Village Voice Media caves?

The fact that PayPal chose to censor me and killed my ebook sales for books that would be rated PG or R tells me that I will encounter issues elsewhere in the near future. It is indeed an anti-adult agenda.

Southwest Companions: Gutting the Albuquerque PD Case

I think I have been clear in past writings that I am not a fan of sites that post reviews of escorts or escort services. As long as I was in business, I jumped through hoops to prevent posting of reviews anywhere. The main reason for this is that I considered what transpired between an escort and a client to be private. The secondary reasoning is that it is a fallible system anyway, which was obvious in the Big Doggie case, the situation with TER – The Erotic Review – and now is clear in the Southwest Companions case.

I suppose that I feel the same about reviews of books, movies, and any other products also. Too many reviewers have an agenda in one direction or another.

In a way, I do not want to write this blog post about the Southwest Companions case. Why? Perhaps those involved need it out of the news so that they can worry about a defense and the rest of their lives. One thing I must say to anyone charged in the case:

You know you're not guilty as charged. At this point you may feel that it is so incorrect that it will go away, a judge will dismiss it, or prosecutors will have a change of heart and drop it. I am sorry, but this will not happen. I met this woman – a good friend of a good friend – within a week of my arrest. We had never met before and it was really a chance introduction. I was visiting my good friend again, about six weeks after arrest, and the woman (a neighbor of hers) dropped by again. When she saw me she was shocked, like fall to the floor shocked.

The woman stated that I had aged 10 years since we met five weeks earlier. It was not stated in any sort of rude way, but as a fact. In a little over a month, the case aged me 10 years. She really freaked out on it. I have never been into drugs or indulged in alcohol often – drinking was something I did once a year, on the average. I looked young for my age at the time of arrest. By the time the case was over, I looked old for my age.

Now that you begin to comprehend the lasting effects on me, let's gut the Albuquerque PD's case:

I want to use an article posted online a few hours ago in this exercise. The article is in the New Mexico Daily Lobo HERE. Having never lived in New Mexico, I have no idea if this is a rag or a serious mainstream syndicated newspaper as the Orlando Sentinel is in Orlando and the Miami Herald is in Miami. I do note that the article quotes the Albuquerque Chief of Police Raymond Schultz and Lt. William Roseman, the detective in charge of the case, throughout.

1. On June 23rd, Schultz stated: “You have an organization that is actively conducting counterintelligence operations,” he said. “This could have been very dangerous to any of the detectives working on this case. This investigation could expand to include human trafficking.”

My response: Bullshit. Don't pretend that some prostitutes and a couple of professors could be dangerous to your overzealous detectives because the statement is absurd. I also cannot view the Southwest Companions site participants as any sort of organization and would bet that these people didn't even know each other outside of their online world on the website. It was a virtual world, and little more. Human trafficking? Please say that was a joke. If you charge anyone in this case with any such charge it would be evidence that you know nothing at all about actual human trafficking and shouldn't be the Chief of Police at all.

2. Quote: “A tip from an anonymous informant sparked an investigation into Garcia’s alleged ties with the prostitution ring.”

My response: Well, you have set this up so that it's unlikely that any defense attorney will ever be able to question the party that allegedly started this entire fiasco. Do you always believe everything that an anonymous idiot states? Do you not bother to question the agenda of the party in initiating such an investigation? You couldn't have a clue of the agenda, because as you state, this party is anonymous, not a confidential informant – two different animals. Do you always embark on such a mission with every anonymous tip? How can Albuquerque afford you if you do?

3. Quote: “Roseman said fees for engaging in sexual acts with prostitutes ranged from less than $200 to as much as $10,000. “These are not your typical street prostitutes,” he said. “It was not a cheap organization.”

My Response: Proof that these prostitutes were 100% independent and not a part of any organizational effort at all. They decided who they saw, what they did, and what they charged. What you've really got here is a handful of misdemeanor prostitution cases, if your warrants to access the database were valid to begin with.

4. Quote: “Through their investigation, APD detectives found that discussion boards exclusive to high-ranking members included guides on how to identify and avoid law enforcement, prevent STDs and rate prostitutes using a starring system.”

My Response: I don't think anyone needs the Southwest Companions site for such guides – they are all over the internet. Will you arrest anyone that publishes a guide that you do not like? Will you arrest anyone with a star rating system? Will you track down who clicked on what? Better get to work. I discuss avoiding law enforcement occasionally, though not for the reasons that you imply here, but because most cops I have ever encountered in this country are overzealous jerks that would make up anything (testilie as opposed to testify). When I say that a person should avoid a traffic stop and drive within every possible law to do so, it isn't because I think they're concealing anything illegal in their vehicles.

5. Quote: “Flory set up a code of acronyms that referred to various sexual acts. Site members used the acronyms when soliciting sex online, according to Flory’s arrest warrant.”

My Response: Almost all adult websites that allow escorts to post ads have the same code of acronyms. I have never been a fan of the acronyms though – say “GFE” to me and I'll always hang-up. At any rate, Flory may have been the one to publish the code of acronyms, but trust me – he sure as hell didn't create any of them.

6. Quote: “In December 2010, Virginia Herringer was arrested on charges of promoting prostitution, possession of drugs and child abuse. Through her arrest, detectives said they learned the full extent of the Southwest Companions operation.”

My Response: I do thank the New Mexico Daily Lobo for clearing that up. Every news story that I came across online stated that it was Cara Garrett, but I didn't buy it as she was arrested for bothering the real informant and it made no sense whatsoever. So, some sleazy witch that is on drugs, has her own “prostitution” business, and abuses her children gave these detectives the real and true story? Get the hell out of here or I'll sell ya some property out in the Everglades. The entire statement is ridiculous.

7. Quote: “Roseman said the prostitution ring is unlike anything APD has ever seen. “We’ve seen similar things, but not organized in this manner,” he said. “This is typically like what we would see in a drug operation. We haven’t seen anything like this, at least not here in Albuquerque.””

My Response: How did this guy make lead detective? Any website that publishes adult ads and any forum that allows escorts to promote their own business operates about the same. This is not an organized effort and it is simply a publisher that publishes a forum online and individual participants exercising their right to free speech. I sure have never seen any drug operation that works like anything described herein. This is looking more like a First Amendment case by the minute.

To conclude here, this is only one article in one online newspaper. I have no way of accessing the warrant for arrest affidavit and gutting that, or I certainly would. If you're reading this and near the Bernalillo County Clerk's Office, please mail me a copy of the arrest affidavit and I'll interpret it and post the results. Contact me for a mailing address. Beyond that, each defendant needs to spend some time gutting their own arrest warrant affidavit - I think you'll feel much better by the time you've finished that exercise; mine was 120+ pages of pure crap and I felt much better when finished.

Creative Reasoning for Collateral Murder

I am watching the CNN show “Wikiwars” at this moment. I will reserve judgment on whether it could be classified as a documentary or just a show until it's over. It begins as an informative piece about Julian Assange, so the beginning is good; however, I reached the point where the US Army general is ripping apart the “collateral murder” video submitted to Wikileaks and using creative reasoning as to why the behavior of the US military personnel in the Apache copter is acceptable. I stopped the recording at the point that Adrian Lamo is introduced.

On the short portion about Lamo, I must conclude that the guy could have easily walked away from the chat with the person claiming to be Brad Manning. All that he had to do was not log-in and read, but instead he chose to play high profile informant and encourages the person on the other side to discuss Assange and the so-called classified material.

None of this should be “top secret” anyway, which is a central point of Wikileaks. It should be public information open to dissemination by the people. They award contracts in the $billions and solicit the unaware to join a false war based on a false premise. Sure they're mad as hell that they have been exposed for what they truly are. Absolutely.

So far it looks like every journalist that Assange worked with to publish the Afghanistan War logs has thrown him under the bus, except Mark Davis. Kaj Larsen is a particularly useful tool for the US government in this film as is Daniel Domscheit-Berg as they pursue throwing Assange under the bus together in a discussion concerning the case in Sweden against him and Assange “going berserk” when the documents were published. It should be clear that these were documents in a court case that has had one strange revelation after the other, beginning with the sudden push to prosecute.

Newsflash to Domscheit-Berg: Not wanting pretrial documents prepared by prosecutors publicly released is not “a contradiction,” and actually has nothing to do with releasing documents exposing government officials involved in a conspiracy to cover-up war crimes or documents that embarass. Some of us can see beyond a created criminal case that popped-up just in time to discredit Assange.

Back to the show...

Okay, so I consider it part show and part documentary. That federal grand jury convened in Alexandria, Virginia and the CIA's Wikileaks Task Force (WTF) [what the fuck to me] is looking for anything and everything to indict Julian Assange on. As I stated in an earlier post, when the government has little or no evidence and they want to indict, they go to grand juries in Alexandria and in the Middle District of Florida. These people would indeed indict a ham sandwich.

I get the point or reason for the existence of Anonymous, but to actually remain anonymous, interviews with pro-government journalists should be out. They'll out you in the end, and probably have already attempted to.

I also get the anger at Amazon for removing the Wikileaks sites from its servers, but then again, it is a private company that can choose who it does business with and who it doesn't. For me it brought to mind the many people that I refused to book as an escort business operator over the years. I couldn't imagine being forced to book everyone capable of dialing a phone. PayPal cleared-up their big mistake when they released the frozen Wikileaks account funds as they had no right to freeze it to begin with.

I also now empathize with Assange over the situation of the funds intended for Brad Manning's defense. Assange has been put between a rock and a hard place so we must look at those that put him there, not attempt to track every dollar. The Brad Manning case and Julian Assange's situation must be kept separate.

I intend to post on the Gitmo Files in the coming week.

The Food Not Bombs Arrests in Orlando

The arrests in Orlando of 13 members of Food Not Bombs (FNB) thus far is worse publicity than the City of Orlando realizes at this point. The news stories have been on the front pages of major newspapers around the world and the City would be better off backing down and letting it go, in my opinion. The FNB activists are exactly that and have no intention of backing down.

Many with FNB are active in other causes as well. I met several of the people at a rally for the Orlando Weekly downtown after the MBI arrested several in the newspaper's sales department over selling ads to massage parlors, escorts, and prostitutes. FNB is not a local organization and members from other areas are coming to Orlando to feed the homeless at Lake Eola downtown even though they realize they'll most likely be arrested for violating the city ordinance.

The City of Orlando prevailed in the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, which isn't that hard as this circuit is friendly to government (city, county, state) and unfriendly to anyone challenging government or its agents. Been there and done that. I do hope to see the FNB attorney take it to the higher court.

I used to go to Lake Eola often, at least a few times a week, but have since moved and spend little time there these days. The reason for the city's fight in relation to FNB feeding the homeless at Lake Eola Park is the surrounding high-dollar real estate. The park is lined by expensive condominiums, restaurants, and street cafés on three sides and these wealthy downtown dwellers do not want the poor and downtrodden there at all, and certainly not to eat a meal.

If you can spare a few $s, consider giving to the Food Not Bombs cause – this is a really great organization and the money won't go to line the pockets of anyone involved as it does with most US charities like the Red Cross. The main link is Food Not Bombs. The link to donate is not all that easy to locate on the website and is referred to as A Dollar for Peace and it's is HERE.

Fight Censorship in the US First

I was reading an article written by Dominic Rushe in the Guardian this evening: US to spend $30m Fighting Censorship

To summarize the issue, the US will be sinking $30 million into a project to fight censorship in “repressive regimes including China and Iran”. With the reactions that US government officials have had to the Wikileaks cable dump and the “Collateral Murder” video, I cannot imagine that the US Department of State could justify an expenditure this size to stop censorship anywhere.

Have these people lost their minds or do they believe that the people they represent have?

Bradley Manning is facing life in prison or death for *uncensoring* what they censored. There is still no way to know how many people involved with Wikileaks will be indicted, but we do know that there is a federal Grand Jury working on the situation.

Beyond the Wikileaks cables we have a complete failure of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) as many requests are ignored for years and others hit a brick wall. There have been FOIA requests for specific documents from the Cold War era and they still refuse to declassify the documents. They exceed their own time limitations on declassifying documents about half of the time.

The US military is circulating propaganda worldwide via sock puppets on forums and social networks. AT&T was given a free pass after allowing law enforcement to access accounts and wiretap without warrant. We are a lawless nation, but yet we need to shove our noses into the censorship issues in China and Iran at a cost of $30 million? Hell, we spend good money circulating propaganda relating to Iran's non-existent nuclear weapons program, so is this the next move to ensure that the propaganda reaches people worldwide?

The main problem with government officials in this country is that they clearly believe we all were born yesterday and will buy any line of crap they feed us. Not all of us though... not all of us.

So is it okay for so many to advocate censorship of adult business ads and publishing in the US while screaming about censorship in China and Iran? We are not talking porn here – we are talking about plain ads for adult businesses in many areas of the US. Publishers were pressured (read threatened with racketeering charges) into eliminating any adult business ads in print publications here in Orlando for over a decade and there are still no publications that accept escort business ads here, including yellow pages and all newspapers. If you don't believe me then you haven't read my story and you have no idea what was done to the Orlando Weekly back in late 2007: Operation MBI Shame

Censorship is alive and well right here in Orlando. I have written about the blocking of adult businesses on this blog and in Memoirs. Sure, there is a way around it and I know it, but it isn't something that I could do because of my former case and the fact that we are talking about Orlando, so it doesn't help me. This doesn't mitigate the fact that it does exist and has since at least 1992. No way that at least a few upper-level government officials are not aware of it – no way in hell.

These people have the audacity to spend $30mil in some weird game to fight censorship in China and Iran? Really it is so absurd that I am at a loss for words.

Beyond book burning: Sheriff Judd of Polk County Florida

I have written about the publicity-seeking Sheriff Judd of Polk County, Florida in past, but today he has hit a new low by arresting the author of the pedophile book banished by Amazon.com following last month's uproar and threats of a boycott by thousands.

I have written about the Taliban sheriff and his gang of whacky women followers in the following posts:

Craigslist Censorship Disturbing (September 4, 2010)
A Thank You to Law Enforcement (August 22, 2010)
Central Florida Law Enforcement Gone Wild (August 22, 2010)
Sex Busts in Polk County, Florida (September 16, 2009)

And then in relation to the removal of the book from Amazon.com:

New Censorship Trends in the US (November 12, 2010)

In one of those posts a Sheriff Judd follower (Maggs) responds. I figured out who she is, though I initially assumed that she was a cop in Polk County because of her statement – she claimed to know a fact that was not reported anywhere. It turned out that she was an aging housewife that simply loves Judd and his anti-sex agenda. So much for claims of knowledge.

Sheriff Judd was the one that originally arrested R. Kelly, but the case was tossed because of an illegal search of Kelly's Davenport, Florida home. The case was prosecuted in Chicago; however, R. Kelly was acquitted by jury on all counts: R. Kelly Defense gets Boost and Kelly Acquitted

Sheriff Judd also pursued the War Porn prosecution of Chris Wilson. All that Wilson did was publish a porn site that allowed soldiers in the Middle East to register for free if they sent a war photo (the more gore the better). As far as I am aware, Wilson pled guilty in the case, but only because he was overwhelmed: War, Porn Web Site Creator Arrested

Well known First Amendment attorney Marc Randazza had this to say about Judd today:

First Amendment Alert! Author Arrested in Colorado because Flori-duh peckerwood pig doesn't like his book

There isn't much to say that could top Marc Randazza's revealing summary of Sheriff Grady Judd. I recall that Judd also prosecuted a couple in Polk County many years ago – her photo was posted on a website and if I recall correctly, they were swingers. Being a swinger and posting a revealing photo on a website is illegal if you live according to Judd's law. I believe that it was his first obscenity prosecution, but I cannot locate any information on it. I recall the woman stating later that Judd ruined her life. It was a late 1990s case.

Sheriff Judd and his cohorts have tackled me in recent days and from two different directions. One attempt relates to my Blueprint for an Escort Service book. They were trying to get me to say that it was a book written to help an escort business entrepreneur skirt the law. It is a book about my knowledge of the escort business and how I operated. Judd and gang are the ones that skirt the law. I believe they purchased copies and have placed a listing in Google Places (the old Maps) to conduct stings with. The Maps listing shows in Orlando.

The other attempt came out of nowhere, but was the day after I published the Central Florida Law Enforcement Gone Wild post. My mind is usually on alert for any attempts to eliminate me from the population, but this one was ridiculous. I have a website that I sometimes use for research and I received a call from a Davenport residence. The party absolutely insisted that I advertised that website in Polk County – wrong – Google search results may show websites that state Orlando in Polk County and I have no control over Google search results. The website never mentions Davenport or Polk County in any way, shape, or form.

The caller (a pushy rude cop) and I had an argument that ended with me informing him that I didn't give a rat's ass what he saw in Google, but we sure didn't operate in Davenport or Polk County and the website is very specific concerning the areas serviced.

Marc Randazza is correct when he refers to this gang of thug sex cops as Taliban. I will donate to the arrested author's defense regardless of how I feel about his book, and hopefully there will soon be a way to donate posted on The Legal Satyricon website.

Judd no longer has Craigslist to help with his sting operations so now he seeks his publicity on a national scale again. Opportunity knocked for an overzealous wrongful prosecution and Grady Judd has answered once again. Let's hope there are First Amendment attorneys out there ready to hand him his ass on a platter and end his crusade once and for all.
